In light of the recent world news events regarding coronavirus we feel that it is appropriate and our responsibility, as a veterinary hospital to number one; let you know that we are staying vigilant to ensure safe hygienic work practices are in place.
Number two; we are encouraging our clients to ensure that their pets vaccinations are up to date. In the event of an outbreak in Perth if your pets need to be placed in kennel or cattery care, they will be required to be fully vaccinated.
Along with vaccinations please also check to make sure that any heartworm injections or tablets, flea and worming treatments, routine blood tests, medications and food are current and in stock at your home.
Although the incidences in Australia are very low we feel it prudent to make an action plan in the event you may be quarantined if you are diagnosed with the virus. If you find yourself in a quarantine situation and your pet needs veterinary care we will be offering veterinary consultations via skype or video call.
Please feel that if you are unsure of any of these items, and need advice please feel that you can call the clinic to confirm.
