Rhian completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Swan Tafe in 2008. Rhian is passionate about reception and finds enjoyment when involved in client liaison and education.

Which pets have left paw prints on your heart?

Charlie – our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel growing up. He is the reason I became a Veterinary Nurse. He was such a gentle soul, a real family dog, who unfortunately passed too soon at the young age of 5yrs old, due to severe CHF. I always wanted to do the best by him growing up and so veterinary nursing was perfect for me.

 

Why did you become a vet nurse and what do you enjoy most about your job?

I have always loved animals, ever since before I could remember. Parents have pictures of me dragging around the cat not long after I learnt to walk, was just a natural progression for me. I never considered alternate career options, I was always set to be a vet nurse. I didn’t become a vet for I hate making decisions =)

 

How do you relax when you’re not at work?

I have a 12 month old at home with number two on the way, though to some this may not be relaxing, I just love my little one and look forward to number two joining our crazy little family.

 

Share something weird or wonderful about yourself.

I am an absolute perfectionist, annoyingly at times. Wherever I am, I like things to be spotless and where they should be. Husband loves to tease me about our home looking
