Qualified and Registered Veterinary Nurse

Which pets have left paw prints on your heart?

My childhood dog Molly was the most loving and gentle dog you could find and left lots of paw prints on my heart. My most recent fur babies are Milly and Macy who are gorgeous and silly in their own unique ways. All my pets have taught me something special and life would certainly be boring without them. One of the best feelings is coming home from a busy day and having my dogs great me like I’ve been gone for years.

Why did you become vet nurse and what do you enjoy most about your job?

I became a vet nurse because I love helping animals and advocating for their wellbeing.  It amazes me every day that animals have such a positive attitude and keep persevering even when in pain or unwell. They find great joy in the small things of life whether it’s a toy, treat or their owner coming home from work. I love being able to help owners look after their pets and provide reassurance in times of stress. I always treat every animal that walks through the door like my own. I also enjoy keeping busy and learning something new each day.

How do you relax when you’re not at work?

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and of course cuddling my dogs. I like to cook, and I enjoy being outside and going to the beach.

Share something weird or wonderful about yourself.

When I was little, I would find and collect slaters from the backyard and make a little home for them out of a cardboard box.
